If you would like to gain a better connection with your horse, learn groundwork for respect, build your confidence as a rider and your horse’s confidence in you as the leader of the team, then I am your trainer. I have studied the training methods of Clinton Anderson, Monty Roberts, Ray Hunt, Julie Goodnight, Bill Dorrence, Leslie Desmond and a variety of other trainers. I have participated in several clinics with Karen Musson, a protégé of Leslie Desmond, learning to work with the horse through feel and release. It is important to me to work with the horse’s personality and find the right method that works with you and your horse. 20+ years of horse experience, 5+ years training experience. References available. Hourly training is $35 per hour. Alexandria area, willing to travel. Equine Massage also available. All horses can benefit from equine massage, whether a performance horse or lightly used pleasure horse. Stall bound horses (either from injury or weather conditions) will benefit with increased blood circulation, in addition to maintaining muscle strength and suppleness, and the prevention of atrophy. Jenny Buskey is a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist and a member of the International Assocation of Animal Massage Therapists. She has over 25 years of experience working with horses. She is a graduate of Equissage of Round Hill, Virginia and a student of Mary Schreiber, one of the pioneers of equine sports massage therapy.
